Yes, and for most itineraries that is the sensible choice. Jog Falls, Agumbe, Kodachadri, Keladi and Kuppalli all sit well outside the city and are awkward to reach by public transport. A multi-day booking keeps the same vehicle and driver with you throughout.
Cancellations well in advance attract no charge and the full advance is refunded, with charges rising on a tiered basis as departure approaches. A no-show, where the vehicle has been deployed and the passenger is absent, is chargeable in full. If we cancel for breakdown or force majeure, you receive a full refund or a substitute vehicle, and refunds go to the original payment instrument.
No. Tejas Tours and Travels does not cover passenger insurance. Our vehicles carry the statutory insurance required of a commercial transport operator, but personal travel or medical cover is not included and should be arranged separately.
We do not operate sleeper bus services on any route. For overnight group travel we recommend a seater coach from our 27 to 50 seater fleet, or a multi-day package with a hotel halt in Shivamogga.
For four to six passengers with luggage, an Innova Crysta or Innova Hycross balances comfort and cost and handles the ghat sections toward Jog and Agumbe well. Groups of eight to fourteen are better served by a tempo traveller or Force Urbania.
For waterfalls and greenery, August to December, with Jog Falls at its most dramatic between August and October. December to February brings pleasant weather, clear Agumbe sunsets and good trekking at Kodachadri. March to May is hot and the falls can thin out.
